In our endless search for more fun with tjets...

Rocky and Mickey verbally assault us with a challenge to come out and play in 2 new series

Skinny Old Stockers round the turn on Rocky's Snakebite Speedway. Be careful or you will be bitten.

I remember when Rocky first rolled out this series with the JL chassis. What fun!! They should be better behaved using the common fray chassis as a basis for this new way to have fun with tjets.

Hey Guys...
The Skinny Old Stockers are coming!

Looks like we have a solid 8 racers, so far, who are willing to race the non-Fray stuff. There are a few more who have expressed an interest as well and I expect to have their suppport. I think that's the direction to go. We'll just race these non-Fray classes, on these 8 days. If time and the host permit, after a race, people can test and tune their Fray cars. Otherwise...all of the Frayheads have the other 250 days between now and the Fray, to prep and practice. It will be fun to do something different and a little less intense. This way, only racers who want to participate in these alternative races, will show up. I think that we can get 12 guys on a regular basis.

Just to clarify what we'll be racing...

SKINNY OLD STOCKERS - box stock Aurora chassis.  Aurora, JL, or MEV stock bodies with front and rear windshield. Any side windows may be removed. No lightening or lowering. American full sized cars, from the 50's and 60's, that were run in the old Grand National series. If you're not sure about a body, just shoot me an email.

NASTY OLD WILLYS - stock JL chassis..no balancing of arms. Tuff Ones width front and rear. Slip on tires only. Double flanged rims are okay.  Aurora, Model Motoring, or JL Willys bodies only. Bodies may be lightened and lowered. No cutting of rocker panels.

NAS-T-JET - stock JL chassis. No balancing of arm.  Modern era NASCAR bodies by Lifelike, Tyco, or custom made. Fray width front and rear. Slip-on tires only. Chassis must fit through Fray tech block.

SUPER MODIFIED - stock Aurora Hot Rod chassis. Stock rims and tires. Aurura or Dash Super Modified bodies. Bodies may not be lowered or lightened. (We'll start this one as an IROC, at the first race and see how many guys want to get their own car. I'll have about a dozen available.

I'm attaching the current schedule (can be rearranged if necessary) and pix of each class of car. Cars will be available for loan or purchase from myself and Mickey..at least. We have 4 of the 8 races spoken for. Please claim a date soon, if you'd like to host a race. Also, even if you're not hosting a race, let me know if you're on board with these proposed series. I'll be putting out a race announcement to the group, later today or tommorrow.
Okay...c ya.

This is an old picture of a field of original Old N Nas-T's

This picture is misleading as a reference to what you can run in the newer Old N Nas-T series. Check the rules above to see which bodies are allowed now.

I love the Southwest. You won't find better scenery anywhere!
